High Elf Update

Three more High Elves completed, including the standard bearer.  Up next for the High Elves is the leader of the Sea Guard.

I've been trying a different base color for the white robes and I'm pleased with the result.  I started with pale olive from Reaper Miniatures and worked my way up to the white.

Here's a group shot of the nine I've completed so far.

My next update should include some more 20mm Late Roman cataphracts.

20mm Heavy Gothic Cavalry

Not happy with the picture, but I didn't inspect it before I packed the miniatures up for shipping so this will have to do!

The riders are from Newline Design as well as the unarmored horses.  All of the armored horses are thought be from Tumbling Dice.

20mm Late Roman Commission

These are 6 commission pieces I've been working on while working on my own elves.  The three on the left are from Newline Design and the three on the right (minus the middle horse) are from Tumbling Dice.  It's extremely odd that Tumbling Dice advertise these figures at 25mm (1/72) while they are actually a bit smaller than the Newline 20mm figures, while their horses are ginormous!  The Tumbling Dice figures are nice, but they definitely lack the detail of the Newline figures.

These aren't Santa's elves

I've completed three more Games Workshop High Elves to add to my growing skirmishing/LotR force.

Here's a group shot of the six I've completed so far.

Here's an action shot again the Reaper Ogre.
Comments, criticisms, suggestions highly encouraged!

High Elves Update

I completed a few more High Elves from GW.  Bases on round bases for use with the Lord of the Rings rules.

A "group" shot with the three I've completed so far.

Kyra & Lavarath and High Elf

I've had this miniature for a long time and I finally completed it.  Fairly happy with how it came out.  I asked my wife for the dragon color scheme and she completely surprised me with this choice - I thought she'd say blue.

I took this picture to highlight the base and the large puddle.

Here's a picture of a High Elf Sea Guard from GW.

Reaper Ogre Chieftain

A Reaper Miniatures Bones Ogre Chieftain.  I'm pretty pleased with the war paint on his face.  I took the picture with my iPhone and some of the face is blurry because of that.

I'm also working on a commission of some Science Fiction miniatures and did this as a test.
